Independent developer Wei Jinxin respects your privacy. This Awesome Ear Training Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, protected, stored, and transmitted. Please read it carefully. If you have any questions, please contact us.
This Policy applies to the iOS app Awesome Ear Training (the “App”).
Personal information means information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person, recorded electronically or otherwise.
The following describes the system permissions, information types, and purposes that may apply when you use the App on an iOS device.
When you use the App, we may involve the following permissions or information (subject to iOS system authorization or local processing on your device):
(1) Microphone: used for the guitar tuner, advanced tuner, recorder, singing pitch detection, and related ear-training features to capture audio, analyze pitch, or save recordings. The microphone is accessed only when you use those features and the system allows it.
(2) Tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency, optional): used, if you agree, to obtain the advertising identifier (IDFA) so we can show more relevant ads and measure ad performance. You may tap Allow or Ask App Not to Track in the system prompt. If you decline, the App will not obtain IDFA through this path and will limit personalized and programmatic advertising settings.
(3) Network access: used after you agree to this Policy to initialize online features and for the third-party advertising SDK to request and display ads. Some features may be unavailable without a network connection.
(4) Local storage: recordings, composition notes, practice scores, and feature settings are saved in the App sandbox on your device for use in the App. They are not uploaded to the developer’s servers.
(5) System confirmation dialogs: when you delete local content such as recordings or composition notes, the App uses a system alert to confirm the action. This does not request additional sensitive permissions.
The App does not request phone, contacts, photo library, camera, calendar, or location permissions, and does not collect your geographic location to show content for different regions.
When providing information to the third-party advertising SDK, the App does not proactively enable sensitive capabilities such as location or Wi-Fi BSSID. If tracking authorization has not been granted, IDFA is not made available to the advertising SDK for cross-app tracking.
We use the information above to provide core features such as tuning, metronome, recording, ear training, and composition notes; to display ads and measure ad performance after you agree; to keep your practice and creation data on your device; and to improve product stability and experience.
We may from time to time use in-app notices or updates to this Policy to inform you of important rules or policy changes. Where laws, regulations, or platform rules require notice, you should read and understand the relevant content before continuing to use the App.
To display ads, the App integrates the Pangle Ads SDK (PAGAdSDK). That SDK is operated by a third party, and its data-processing rules are governed by the third party’s published policy.
1. Pangle Ads SDK
Purpose: ad delivery, ad measurement and attribution, anti-fraud, and advertising performance statistics.
On iOS, the SDK and its partners may process personal information including, but not limited to: device identifiers (such as IDFA and IDFV; IDFA is available only after you authorize tracking), device information (such as model, OS version, and screen resolution), network information (such as IP address), app information (such as bundle ID and app version), ad impression/click/conversion interaction data, and ad creatives and logs cached on the device.
When IDFA is unavailable, advertising attribution may use Apple’s SKAdNetwork. The specific scope and purposes are determined by Pangle’s latest published documentation.
We may disclose your personal information if required by law, legal process, arbitration, or a competent government authority. We may also disclose information where we believe it is necessary to protect national security, law enforcement, or the public interest, as permitted by applicable law.
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce the App’s terms or to protect users or the security of our operations. If a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer occurs, personal information we have collected may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to continue to be bound by this Policy.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
You can manage locally stored recordings, composition notes, and practice data in the App. We retain related information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Content you create locally generally remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected by mistake, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
Ads or links in the App may open third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are the responsibility of those third parties. We recommend that you review their privacy policies.
We will make reasonable efforts to implement the privacy protections described in this Policy and to keep this notice consistent with how the App actually works.
If you have any questions or comments about this Policy or our handling of personal information, please contact us at 2671157721@qq.com.
We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by showing the updated policy in the App or by similar means.
This Privacy Policy was updated and takes effect on August 22, 2026.
